One of the more often overlooked but very important locations in college life is the cafeteria. The cafeteria is a main communication hub. It brings people in educational institutions together and offers a spatial and mental time-out. Pupils, students, and teachers often only have short breaks between lessons. An atmospheric lighting concept is thus even more critical. Sure, you need enough light to read the menus, see what you are eating as well as seeing what stimulates your relaxation, be it the food itself or that special someone across from you while you get that very important, miniscule break between classes! NAL lighting embarked on lighting this 2-year project of ground up design of the new HSU Moody Center Dining Hall expansion!
NAL supplied the beautiful, elegant, classic and yet simple Atmos fixture for this project. All of the round, square and hex shaped drum fixtures really compliment the zig zagging of the linear on the project. It is a very simple but powerful design, with just the perfect amount of illumination to help the students relax and unwind between classes!
